The Purpose
This site aims to "prime the pump of public participation" by linking the energy of county residents with expert knowledge about threats to our environment from human action, as well as opportunities for positive action. We aim to strengthen the relations among citizens who are working on environmental and land use affairs, as a basis for a democratic movement towards a healthy and sustainable quality of life for all who live in Prince George’s County.
Why is it needed?
Across our county, people are working towards a healthy, safe and sustainable lifestyle. Yet our efforts are often weakened by our failure to pool our knowledge and to coordinate our actions.

We will appreciate your offers of help, feedback, and donations.
Community activists and people who are knowledgeable in land use affairs (planning, zoning, etc.) and in environmental issues are warmly invited to discuss with us how they can create and edit content.
What's Next?
We want to evolve the site. We encourage people to take on leadership roles. Many more features need to be added including new tools to support groups, event calendars, and blogs. We hope community members will donate their time and knowledge to help develop these features, to make the Prince George's Spring a resource for the common good.
The site is apolitical. It is free of advertisements and commercial entities.
